Enna is the highest provincial capital of Italy and is divided in two parts, Enna alta and Enna bassa.
Enna alta is definitely worth a visit, its squares and the facades of its buildings are really interesting, the scenery that appears from its belvedere, an impervious and with less tourist Sicily, is really fascinating, a dip in the recent past of this region.
We suggest to combine the visit to Enna with a tour of the incredible mosaics of the Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, wonderfully preserved monument.
It is advisable to check the opening hours from the site http://www.villaromanadelcasale.it and possibly also by phone.
